WHAT IS CCWA?

OSU’s premier International Affairs Club and official Model United Nations Team.

Founded in 2010, the Collegiate Council on World Affairs (CCWA) is a student organization at The Ohio State University, dedicated to the education, discussion, and appreciation of all things related to international affairs. Our purpose is to provide students with a forum in which they can develop their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. We achieve this through a variety of activities, including our Model UN conferences, weekly educational meetings, lectures from distinguished guest speakers, internationally-themed social events, and much more!

Beyond our focus on international relations, CCWA prides itself on its inclusiveness and camaraderie. In CCWA, you have the opportunity to meet students of different cultures, backgrounds, and areas of study, all connected by a common goal: to better understand the world that connects us all. At a university with over 45,000 students, CCWA allows you to personally find people who share your interest and passion for international topics and issues.

Weekly meetings are held on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in 0080 Derby Hall.

Since our inception, CCWA has significantly expanded with the addition of three noteworthy sub-organizations: Model United Nations, Alger Magazine, and the United Nations Association-OSU.
