In its premier year, the Chadwick Alger Speaking Series is designed to bring excellent speakers to campus to discuss pressing international issues. These speakers engage not only the Collegiate Council on World Affairs, but the greater university community. Engagement is only one part of the project.

The 2016-2017 series is Among Equals? Unpacking Inequality in a Globalized World. The theme of the speaker series this year focuses on inequality. Each event will focus on a specific inequality, such as gender inequality, economic inequality, and racial inequality. We will be hosting a number of other events under this theme of inequalities before introducing our culminating event.

The first event to kick off this year's speaker series theme was on refugee inequality, where CCWA facilitated a panel discussion between 3 people who have been affected by the current refugee crisis in various ways.
